Lisa M. Russell joined the Department of Communications in 2014 as a part-time instructor of COM 2135 Writing for Public Communications and COM 1100 Human Communications.

Graduating with honors from KSU with an MA in Professional Writing, her research included a final capstone, “Digital Rhetoric: Doing things with words online.” Her publications include a collaborative book, Social Media in Context: Writers Explore the Marketplace and the article for ELearning Guild Magazine, "Designing Words" Russell has been a speaker for KSU Career Services, Learning Solutions Conference and SoCon 12 & 13.

Russell teaches English at Georgia Northwestern Technical College and where she serves as Chair of Learning Support English. Previously, she was a freelance instructional designer and administrator of Georgia Writers Association and the Georgia Author of the Year Awards.
