Dr. Yannuzzi brings nearly 30 years of experience the to practical art of teaching and learning. He started his professional career at the Wharton School of Business developing and teaching leadership communication programs for full-time MBA students. His program development and teaching responsibilities soon included the Executive MBA and Executive Education programs, and Dr. Yannuzzi began directing Leadership Communication development and teaching for the Executive MBA Leadership program. Dr. Yannuzzi, an avid supporter of experiential service learning, also developed and taught the Wharton undergraduate "Connects Program," a innovative service-learning initiative that connected business students with non-profit organizations in the Philadelphia region to learn how to identify business needs, advocate for actions and resources to support them, and then be involved in implementing their plan to fulfill them.
While at Wharton, Dr. Yannuzzi partnered with the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) to develop an international Leadership Communication program for Full-Time MBA students. The program grew into what is now called the Personal Leadership Development Program or (PLD) and required of all MBA, Executive MBA and OneMBA students.
Dr. Yannuzzi left his academic appointment at Wharton to join the private firm of F. Schumacher & Co. where he served as an internal organizational consultant; advising and developing senior executives, corporate management, and company staff in three design, sales and distribution divisions serving three separate markets producing $300 million annually. Dr. Yannuzzi worked extensively with sales and distribution to develop and implement strategic initiatives focused on improving structural, operational and relational processes throughout the company. Dr. Yannuzzi was honored with F. Schumacher & Co.’s award for distinguished service two years in a row.
Dr. Yannuzzi continued teaching while fulfilling his corporate position, and returned to academia full-time in 2004. However, he continued to work with for-profits, non-profits and NGO’s through his own consulting and coaching business. He has been commissioned by organizations such as Ortho-McNeil-Jennson, Booz Allen Hamilton, Texas A&M University, Genesis Health Systems, Merrill Lynch, First USA Bank, Rodel Industries, Delaware River and Bay Authority and The State of Delaware.
With nearly 30 years of academic and corporate experience, Dr. Yannuzzi is a proven and passionate educator, as well as a successful organizational strategist who brings the everyday savvy needed to influence actual practice. Dr. Yannuzzi received his B.A. in Rhetorical Theory from California State University, Fullerton; his M.A. in Communication Theory from Temple University; and his Ph.D. in Education, Culture and Society from the University of Pennsylvania.
