Dr. Philip Aust is a professor at Kennesaw State University (KSU). With 20 years of undergraduate and graduate teaching experience, Dr. Aust specializes in leadership development. He teaches Organizational Consulting, Training and Development, Leadership, Group and Team Communication, and Interpersonal Communication at KSU using face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. In the last few years, Dr. Aust has been recognized for outstanding instruction by KSU’s Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning and KSU’s Career Services Center for exceptional service-learning.

Dr. Aust has authored and co-authored book chapters and journals in outlets such as Communication Studies, Basic Communication Course Annual, Communication Theories for Everyday Life, and Communication Teacher. His book entitled The Essence of Who We Are examines how organizations form and maintain their identity. He is currently collaborating with colleagues on a federal grant that examines how online technologies enhance learning.

Dr. Aust regularly serves as a consultant and corporate trainer for profit and non-profit Atlanta-based organizations. He has worked with 70 different companies including Coca-Cola, Lowes, and Home Depot over the last five years
