Ashli Davis is a strategic communications professional with 17 years of experience leading complex, high-profile, global projects focusing on leadership and internal communications, employee engagement, organizational transformation, culture and change strategy. She has worked with powerful brands like The Coca-Cola Company, USAA, Deloitte, International Hotels Group and numerous others.
Before starting her consulting firm in 2010, Type A Consulting, Ashli worked for The Coca-Cola Company in Global Internal Communications, where she ran operations for its Global Internal Communications Network—a group of internal communication experts formed to align strategy, programming, tactics and share knowledge across 206 countries. Prior to The Coca-Cola Company, Ashli started her career with The Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, where she established communications infrastructure, training conferences and publications to unite legal education for elected prosecutors and their staff.
For more than a decade, she volunteered at Kennesaw State University (KSU) speaking to students about the realities of being a communicator and as a result was awarded the Outstanding Alumna Award from the School of Communication and Media in 2015. Then in 2016, she merged her love for public relations and passion for education by teaching PR Strategy and Tactics, a senior-level course, at KSU. As a part-timer, she is determined to inspire the next generation of communication professionals to excel in public relations.
To better understand her students and client challenges, she has two years intensive graduate research called, “Workforce Paradigm Shift: Millennials, The Human Capital of The Future,” which centers on how organizational culture, communication methods and leadership styles need to adapt to attract, retain, manage and engage millennials -- a generation that is changing the game in the workforce.
Ashli lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She has Bachelor’s in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s in Leadership with a focus on Development and Change from Mercer University. When she is not working or teaching, you can count on the fact that her toes are in the sand somewhere warm!
